What Bout-A-Round is

Bout-A-Round helps fighters find sparring partners and clubs, and keeps a record of arranged bouts. Everything below describes what the web app and the mobile apps actually collect and why — nothing more is gathered.

What we collect

  • Account: your name, email address, date of birth, and sex, plus the town and country you choose to show. You sign in with Google or Apple through Microsoft Entra — we never see or store a password.
  • Fighter profile: the details you enter for matchmaking — height, weight, stance, training history, bout record, disciplines, an optional nickname, and any photos you upload.
  • Club activity: the clubs you join, the roles you hold, and your membership history.
  • Matchmaking content: sparring requests, messages you send, fight cards and their agreed terms, Fight Night entries, and scoring.
  • Notifications: if you enable push notifications on a phone, a device token is stored so we can deliver them; it is removed when you sign out.
  • Safety records: reports you file and the list of people you block.

What we don't do

  • No advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.
  • We never sell personal data.
  • We hold no payment details.

Photos

Uploaded photos are re-encoded on arrival, which strips hidden metadata such as GPS location. Every photo is screened automatically for content and for a visible face before it becomes visible to anyone; most clear photos are approved instantly, and any that aren't are reviewed by a moderator.

Under-18s

Anyone under 18 is added to BoutAround by their club's coach — they can't set up a profile on their own. Under-18s never appear in public fighter browsing or search, and nobody can message them, nudge them or send them a sparring request. Their club records a parent or guardian's consent in person, and decides what other clubs see: a coach can put a fighter forward for a sparring session, and only the details that coach has chosen to share (for example initials, year of birth and weight) are shown to the coaches they invite. Photos of under-18s are blurred by default, and the club chooses whether a photo is clear, blurred or hidden. When a fighter turns 18, their club hands the profile over to them.

Your choices

You control whether your fighter card is publicly listed, how your name appears on event bills, and who you block. Everything on your profile can be edited in the app.

Retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account yourself at any time (Profile → Danger zone, in the app or on the web). Deletion removes your profile, photos, requests, messages, notifications, memberships and roles. Your name on archived fight results remains part of the historical public record of those events, no longer linked to any account.

Where your data lives

Data is stored on Microsoft Azure in the European Union (North Europe, Ireland). The services that process it on our behalf: Microsoft Azure (hosting, storage, database, email delivery, and automated screening of uploaded photos for content and for a visible face), Microsoft Entra External ID (sign-in), Google (Sign in with Google; Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android push), and Apple (Sign in with Apple; Apple Push Notification service for iOS push).

Your rights

You can access and correct your data in the app, delete your account in the app, and contact us about anything else — including data questions under GDPR — at info@boutaround.com.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so on this page and update the effective date above.
