What Bout-A-Round is

Bout-A-Round helps fighters find sparring partners and clubs, and keeps a record of arranged bouts. Everything below describes what the web app and the mobile apps actually collect and why — nothing more is gathered.

What we collect

• Account: your name, email address, date of birth, and sex, plus the town and country you choose to show. You sign in with Google or Apple through Microsoft Entra — we never see or store a password.
• Fighter profile: the details you enter for matchmaking — height, weight, stance, training history, bout record, disciplines, an optional nickname, and any photos you upload.
• Club activity: the clubs you join, the roles you hold, and your membership history.
• Matchmaking content: sparring requests, messages you send, fight cards and their agreed terms, Fight Night entries, and scoring.
• Notifications: if you enable push notifications on a phone, a device token is stored so we can deliver them; it is removed when you sign out.
• Safety records: reports you file and the list of people you block.

What we don't do

• No advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.
• We never sell personal data.
• We hold no payment details.

Photos

Uploaded photos are re-encoded on arrival, which strips hidden metadata such as GPS location, and every photo is reviewed by a moderator before it becomes visible to anyone.

Under-18s

Fighters under 18 never appear in public fighter browsing or search, cannot send or receive sparring requests, and joining a club requires a guardian's consent recorded by club staff.

Your choices

You control whether your fighter card is publicly listed, how your name appears on event bills, and who you block. Everything on your profile can be edited in the app.

Retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account yourself at any time (Profile → Danger zone, in the app or on the web). Deletion removes your profile, photos, requests, messages, notifications, memberships and roles. Your name on archived fight results remains part of the historical public record of those events, no longer linked to any account.

Where your data lives

Data is stored on Microsoft Azure in the European Union (North Europe, Ireland). The services that process it on our behalf: Microsoft Azure (hosting, storage, database, email delivery), Microsoft Entra External ID (sign-in), Google (Sign in with Google; Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android push), and Apple (Sign in with Apple; Apple Push Notification service for iOS push).

Your rights

You can access and correct your data in the app, delete your account in the app, and contact us about anything else — including data questions under GDPR — at boutaround@protonmail.com.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so on this page and update the effective date above.
